What is an LG3 Inspection?
An LG3 inspection is the thorough examination of suspended access equipment and building maintenance units.
The LG3 is an essential part of the ongoing maintenance of permanent suspended access equipment and must be delivered by a competent company such as iMS Access Services Limited.
These tests are mandatory as per the Safety Access FEDerations' (SAFed) guidelines. These thorough examinations are to be carried out at 2 year intervals with 1 major examination every 10 years. These tests will include examining not only the Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) but the track in which the machine travels along for which the machine sits upon. iMS Access Services has had previous experience of LG3 inspections working with Vinci Construction at Whiston Hospital and Mitie Group at Lloyds Banking Group.
