Lloyds Banking Group, Halifax
Project status: completed July 2019
Lloyds Banking Group PLC is a major British financial institution formed through the acquisition of HBOS by Lloyds TSB and originally founded in 1995.
iMS Access Services Limited played a key role in the future maintenance at the Lloyds Banking Group, Halifax, West Yorkshire. These works comprised of an extensive LG3 inspection and repair plus the installation of 2 new Building Maintenance Units (BMU).
The LG3 Inspection is a thorough examination of permanent suspended access equipment and building maintenance units which is required every 10 years according to SAFed guidelines. This inspection is essential to the ongoing performance and compliance of any permanent suspended access equipment.
iMS Access Services were tasked with the maintenance and replacement of an existing Building Maintenance Unit which old machines were removed and new ones lifted via a mobile crane. With Health & Safety being the utmost priority, the complex lifting and removal of all BMU's was carried out during the weekend taking 5 hours in total, ensuring no disruption to the client and, more importantly, no risk to the public.
The new BMU's manufactured by GPBMU were a compact design to reduce visibility from public below and to not detract from the buildings unique design.
